ABOUT US:

The Newman Center, although primarily dedicated toward college students, has historically been a place to which high school students have also been attracted. Understanding the importance of ministering to this age group, the Newman Center decided a few years ago to cater to high school students as well. Since then, the program has flourished, as nearly 50 students are now registered!

We also run a three-day high school leadership training program that equips teens with the skills to become confident leaders in the Church. This program is run in early August every summer.

SUNDAY NIGHT PROGRAMS:

Join us on Sunday evenings at the Newman Center for all-you-can-eat dinner, faith formation and social activities! We meet every other Sunday at 5:30 PM. The program runs until 7:30 PM. At that time, the teens are encouraged to attend the Newman Center’s college Mass to catch a glimpse of the college life.

FRIDAY MOVIE/GAME NIGHTS:

Join us on Friday nights at 7:30 PM for an evening of snacks, games and/or a movie. This is a chance to simply hang out and have fun with fellow teens. We meet every other Friday.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

The Newman Center provides an ample number of opportunities for teens to serve the local community. These include: retirement home visits, homeless ministry, service trips, community clean-up and even ecological projects.
